Investigate the processes by which students participate and transfer scientific practices of production, evaluation and communication of knowledge in various contexts and educational levels. This objective is equivalent to investigating the processes of development of the three scientific competences of modeling (production), use of evidence (assessment of knowledge or argumentation) and inquiry, and their transfer to practice.

Didactics of Language and Literature

Research on linguistic competences, in a framework of coexistence with two official languages understood as an opportunity to achieve real multilingualism: a) deepen the evaluation of the communicative competence of students in Galician, Spanish and foreign languages, identifying strengths and weaknesses; b) design improvement strategies, taking into account the pedagogical-didactic approach and its instrumental use in the school environment; c) improvement of argumentation and reasoning skills; d) investigation of the relationships between literary education and the construction of identities.

Didactics of Maths Sciences

Investigate the competences for mathematical modeling, the development of cognitive and metacognitive arguments to develop proofs and refutations of mathematical techniques and technologies, and their capacity for scientific research, both practical and metacognitive.
 
Analyze the thinking and ability of the teacher to support the development of these skills and abilities. Currently, learning problems are preferentially treated in adolescents at risk of exclusion.
