An article of two members of the research group RODA, María Pilar Jiménez Aleixandre and Sabela F. Monteira was acknowledged with the Research Worth Reading Award by the American associations NSTA and NARST

The article ‘The practice of using evidence in Kindergarten: The role of purposeful observation’” (Journal of Research in Science Teaching, 2016) of the USC researchers Sabela F. Monteira and María Pilar Jiménez Aleixandre was chosen these days as one of the four more relevant for teaching practice, among those published in the North American journal of didactics of science in 2016. It is a pioneer work that examines how early childhood education students can generate and use empirical evidence to test or review scientific ideas. The work was carried out in collaboration with the group of ECE teachers Torque, who hold a long trajectory in project based teaching.
